“SHANS”- ELECTRONIC MONITORING SYSTEM

“SHANS” Electronic Monitoring System – The main purpose of the “SHANS” electronic monitoring system is the continuous supervision of convicts or persons subjected to restrictive measures, control over the observance of restrictions imposed on them, provision of automated collection and processing of information.

By means of the electronic monitoring system “SHANS”, the following persons are under constant control:

  • Persons serving sentences under restriction of liberty and other alternative types of punishment not related to imprisonment;
  • Suspects and defendants under house arrest or required to restrict their movement;
  • Monitoring of the implementation of the established social work.

The electronic monitoring system consists of the following devices:

  • Two types of electronic bracelets:
    • Electronic bracelet;
    • Standalone bracelet;
  • Beacon (home signal transmitter);
  • A mobile device with special software for the probation officer (registration device) and for use by inmates;
  • Base station.

A self-contained bracelet is an electronic device attached to the leg of a convict or person subjected to restrictive measures, which tracks his geographical position and transmits information about everything that has happened to the monitoring center through a GSM module. What distinguishes a self-contained bracelet from an electronic bracelet is that the GSM and GPS modules are inside the bracelet.

Technical parameters of the self-contained wristband:

  • IP68 standard;
  • Weight 129 g;
  • Ergonomic design;
  • Made of hypoallergenic materials;
  • Easy installation with an adjustable strap;
  • Ability to work without recharging up to 48 hours;
  • Dual sim card;
  • Fast charging;
  • Ability to connect up to 10 Beacons;
  • Bluetooth 5.0 BLE;
  • GSM module – Supports 3G/4G networks;
  • GNSS module (GPS, GLONASS, GZSS, Galileo);
  • LED indicators;
  • Radiofrequency technology based on the grid;
  • Buzzer;
  • Vibration motor.

“SHANS” Beacon is an electronic device used in conjunction with an electronic bracelet, installed in the home where the inmate or person subject to restrictive measures resides, and transmits signals from the bracelet to the mobile control unit. Beacon supports a fixed and optional redundant power supply with a radio frequency (Bluetooth BLE 5.0) signal transmitter, power backup, performance indicators, power disconnect, physical and software interference, and bias detectors.

One of the main purposes of the Beacon is to extend the wireless coverage of the electronic bracelet in a certain space. Thus, it can transmit bracelet status information to a wearable device via multiple Beacons.

Electronic bracelet “SHANS” – an electronic device attached to the leg of a convict or person subject to restrictive measures, which tracks his/her geographical position and transmits information about it to the monitoring center by means of a mobile device.

Technical parameters of the electronic bracelet:

  • Water and dust protection according to the IP68 standard;
  • Weight 64 g;
  • Ergonomic design;
  • Made of hypoallergenic materials;
  • Easy installation with adjustable strap;
  • Ability to work for 1 year with the battery connected;
  • Radiofrequency mesh-based technology;
  • Belt interference detection system;
  • Sound and vibration components;
  • EES 256 data encryption.

SHANS mobile device – an electronic device used in conjunction with an electronic bracelet that must remain with the inmate or person subject to restrictive measures at all times, identifying their geographic location and tracking data from the bracelet and transmitting it to the monitoring center.

The purpose of the mobile device is to send to the monitoring center about the violation of the perimeter of the permitted area by the person under control and the current status of the electronic bracelet and other electronic devices worn by the inmate, biometric identification and, if necessary, to make audio calls with the Monitoring Center.

Technical parameters of the mobile device:

  • Administrative control of system regulation;
  • Administrative control of special software “SHANS”;
